How to adjust the valve phase of diesel generator set

　　Incorrect valve timing of diesel generator sets will lead to insufficient intake, poor exhaust, incomplete combustion, and affect the power, economy and environmental protection of the unit at this time. Corresponding adjustment measures should be taken. The generator company recommends that you adjust it according to the following methods.

　　When adjusting, first determine whether the installation position of the timing gear is correct, and then check whether the tooth surface meshing clearance meets the requirements.

　　If the opening and closing of a single valve is too early or too late, and the error value is not large, the method of appropriately adjusting the valve clearance can be adopted. Reducing the valve clearance can correct the delay, and appropriately increasing the valve clearance can correct the early stage.

　　Offset camshaft key method If the valve timing of most intake and exhaust valves deviates to one side and the difference is close to the same, it can usually be adjusted by the offset key method. The offset camshaft key method is to adjust the valve phase by changing the cross-sectional shape of the connecting key between the timing gear and the camshaft. The change in the shape of the key changes the matching position of the timing gear and the camshaft. The angle corresponds to the offset of the key, thereby changing the valve phase.
